Whether you’re looking to get married outside or inside, have a modern or rustic theme, San Diego is the perfect place to have a wedding. With the weather being (almost) perfect all year round, the options are endless for your venue. We’ve worked at many beautiful venues across the city, and have listed some of our favorites to hold a wedding at.
Supreeta, one of our executive planners’ favorite venues is the Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa. This stunning resort is located right on the water on Coronado Island and has 21 different venue options, including multiple picturesque outdoor settings, as well as sophisticated ballrooms. Supreeta also adds that the staff are fantastic to work with and are always helping to make the event as perfect as can be. If you are looking for a diverse pool of options for venues in one resort, this is the place for you!
Another one of our executive wedding planners, Laura, shares one of her favorite San Diego venues, L’auberge Del Mar. She appreciates how the hotel is an “all in one” and accommodates to all aspects of a wedding! L’auberge is located right on the water at Del Mar Beach and has venue options for more intimate ceremonies and large celebrations. Their Pacific Terrace can accommodate for up to 200 guests for your ceremony or reception! Not to mention the amazing panoramic views of the beautiful Del Mar coastline. This venue is guaranteed to create a magical wedding experience for you and your guests.
Two words...beach wedding. With San Diego having some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, it is no surprise couples come here to tie the knot. One of our favorite beach spots is located on the beachfront of the La Jolla Shores Hotel. You and your guests will have your toes in the sand looking out at the sparkling Pacific. After the ceremony, your party can head back up to the Hotel to one of their scenic areas.
Don’t want to get married by the beach? No problem! San Diego has a variety of venues across the city that have great landscape, still with great views. One of our favorites is at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa located in Carlsbad. Their Valley Promenade is a perfect spot for a ceremony with a backdrop of rolling hills and a championship golf course. There are also indoor and outdoor venues that a splendid reception could be held at.
If you’re looking to celebrate at a venue in the heart of a city, San Diego has that option as well! With many locations in downtown San Diego you are sure to find a venue that gives you the vibe you are looking for. The Ultimate Skybox at Diamond View Tower is located in East Village with fantastic views from the top floor of the Skyline, the Bay and Coronado Island. This is a superb venue for a more intimate wedding that can still be very entertaining!
